10 things you don’t know about NCDMB’s industrial park

A team of online media professionals under the aegis of the Guild Of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) recently visited the construction sites of Nigeria’s industrial park in Cross River and Bayelsa States to ascertain the degree of work done.

Confiance News made the following findings in relation to the visit:

1. The Nigerian Oil and Gas Park Scheme (NOGaPs) is the first indigenous industrial park in the country.

 

2. It aims to boost industrialization in the country.

 

3. The Federal Government recently pledged $50 million fund for the implementation of project.

4. Applications are open to investors who are in the manufacturing and processing sectors; it is not limited to the oil and gas sector.

 

5. The facility at Odukpani, Cross River state, is 80 percent completed.

 

6. NCDMB upgraded its independent Bayelsa electricity plant from 10 to 20 megawatts to ensure 24 hours power supply at the parks.

7. The project empowers indigenes of host communities, whose services are deployed under strict scrutiny in the course of the construction of the parks.

 

8. The two parks sit on 25 hectares of land each with ultra modern facilities.

 

9. The park in Bayelsa State also known as Emeyal 1, will be commissioned during the fourth quarter of 2023.

 

10. NCDMB plans to construct more industrial parks in Imo, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Ondo states.
