‎The Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, visited the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on September 2, 2025.

‎Confiance News reports that the high-profile engagement, highlighted in CBN’s official X post on September 3, underscores ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between key financial institutions amid Nigeria’s economic recovery.

‎The visit, described by CBN as a “working visit to strengthen ties,” was hosted by Deputy Governor for Economic Policy, Dr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, and Deputy Governor for Financial System Stability, Mr. Phillip Ikeazor.

‎Recall that Dr. Uzoka-Anite, appointed in August 2023 under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, aimed to foster closer coordination on monetary and fiscal policies. This comes at a critical time, as Nigeria grapples with inflation control, naira stabilization, and sustainable growth post-reforms.

‎CBN’s X post, shared from its verified handle @cenbank, featured images of the warm reception, emphasizing unity in promoting financial stability. The engagement aligns with broader goals, including revenue mobilization and international partnerships, as seen in recent interactions with J.P. Morgan on the same day.

‎Experts view this as a step toward integrated policymaking, potentially accelerating reforms like digital currency initiatives and SME financing. With Nigeria’s economy projected to grow in 2025, such inter-agency synergy is vital for investor confidence and inclusive development.
