9 everyday products destroying your health

There are products used by many in the course of their daily activities, which unknown to them, are slowly destroying their health.

Confiance News has made a list of nine of these products culled from Twitter, harmful to your health.

1) Alcohol

2) Plastics

3) Receipts

4) Seed oils

5) Tap water

6) Processed foods

7) Cosmetic products

8) Laundry detergent and dryer sheets

9) Sugar

Alcohol A few drinks now and then is fine. But frequent binge drinking leads to:

• Liver disease

• High blood pressure

• Neurological disorders

• Cardiovascular disease

• Increased risk of cancer

Be an adult. Drink responsibly.

 

Plastics

Plastics are made with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

They are commonly found in:

• Cosmetics

• Food packaging

• Nonstick cookware Minimize products containing PFAS.

They damage your organs, nervous system, and reproductive system.

 

Receipts

Receipts are made from a heat-activated paper. This paper contains Bisphenol-A (BPA).

BPA has been found to:

• Disrupt testosterone

• Cause reproductive issues

• Increase risk of various cancers

• Harm the cardiovascular system.

Reacting, a tweep known as AI Torna said, “This type of ‘thermal paper’ isn’t limited to receipts—it’s also used for movie and concert tickets, boarding passes and deli meat and cheese labels.” Stop taking receipts.

Seed oils Many seed oils are produced with heat, toxic chemicals, and preservatives. Avoid eating corn, canola, and soybean oil. They’re linked to:

• Oxidation

• Inflammation

• Nutrient imbalance

• Cardiovascular disease

Use olive, avocado, or coconut oil instead.

 

Tap water

Our tap water has been found to contain:

• PFAS

• Drugs

• Metals

• Fluoride

• Contaminants

• Microorganisms

These are linked to cancer, organ problems, and neurological disorders. Use a filter for your drinking, shower, and bath water.

 

Processed foods

Minimize fast food, packaged snacks, and processed meats. They are usually packed with preservatives, seed oils, and toxins.

Eat a diverse range of natural whole foods including:

• Eggs

• Wild caught fish

• Grass-fed meats

• Fruits and vegetables

 

Cosmetic products

Many cosmetics (like shampoos, conditioners, and moisturizers) have been found to contain:

• PFAS

• Parabens

• Phthalates

They can cause allergic reactions, organ toxicity, and skin irritation.   Only buy your cosmetics from trusted sources.

 

Laundry detergent and dryer sheets They are filled with Endocrine Disruptors.

 

Sugar

  • It can cause weight gain.
  • May increase your risk of heart disease.
  • Linked to acne.
  • Increases your risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
  • May increase your risk of cancer.
  • May increase your risk of depression.
  • May accelerate the skin aging process.
  • Can increase cellular aging.
