Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, who was the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate) is now the acting governor of Nigeria’s apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Confiance News recalls that Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, on Friday night suspended Godwin Emefiele according to a statement issued by the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey.
Born on March 7, 1962, joined the CBN in October 2018 following his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prior to his appointment at CBN in October 2018, he was MD/CEO of the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS).
