Utilizing God’s mercy

God can only have mercy on human beings but not angels.

Confiance News gathered from a Minister of the gospel at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Solid Rock Parish, Oladeji Olawale on Sunday.

Taking his text from the book of John 3:16 in the scriptures, he said: “The reason God came is to restore man to his former state. For instance, the reason a small boy can command Satan is because of this restoration through Jesus Christ.”

Expatiating, he said that the angels don’t have the capacity to repent.

Olawale noted that the only way to approach God is through his mercy.

“Everything about Jesus Christ represents is mercy. Paying your tithe is good. Paying your offering is good but if you must approach God, you must approach God on the platform of mercy,” he continued.

The minister notes that Jehovah is a God of mercy and He gave us his son Jesus Christ to symbolize mercy.

He said, “Our God is a God of mercy. God showed us mercy to epitomize His mercy.”

He pointed that God cannot reduce his standards because we are Nigerians or because we are Gen Zs.

“You cannot play God and play the world. He cannot share his glory,” he stresses.

Olawale noted that we were born to be regenerated by our Lord Jesus to conform to his image; adding that the reason we compromise is because we don’t have enough faith in God.

“You can have your name written in the book of life on the platform of mercy.
The mercy of God is available to bring about restitution,” he explained.
