The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has called on depositors or staff of the liquidated Fortis Microfinance Bank, yet to receive their deposits to file their claims for payment.
Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of the Corporation on Monday.
“The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), the official liquidator of Fortis Microfinance Bank, whose license was revoked in December 2018, is calling on depositors/staff who are yet to receive their insured or uninsured deposits to come forward and file their claims for payment,”the statement disclosed.
NDIC urged them to visit specific locations provided in the table below for verification of their claims starting from Monday 11 to Saturday December 16, 2023.
“Depositors should come with their proof of account ownership and Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) or National Identity Number (NIN) slip and other means of identification,” NDIC stated.
“You can also go to the NDIC claims page on our website: www.ndic.gov.ng/claims/ to download complete the verification form and email with supporting documents to: claimscomplaints@ndic.gov.ng,” the statement continued.
