Lafarge Africa unveils Africa’s first ever green depot in Nigeria

Cement manufacturing giant, Lafarge Africa, has announced the launch of Africa’s first ever green depot.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Lafarge Africa’s first-ever Green Depot in Abeokuta, which is designed to accelerate green mobility. As part of our commitment to promoting sustainable growth, the Green Depot runs entirely on a solar power system, which guarantees…

 

“100% energy conservation in lighting, air-conditioning, and electric forklift charging.

This compliments our electric and CNG trucks as it facilitates eco-friendly transportation of cement from our Ewekoro plant to the depot, further underscoring our dedication to green mobility,” the company disclosed on X.

 

Confiance News recalls that the company recently commissioned projects as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which includes: Papalanto Health Centre, Magistrate Staff Quarters Itori, Oke-Oko Sekoni Electrification, and classrooms at Ewekoro.
