Patience Ifediora, a Nigerian woman, has made history in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
Ifediora emerged as the first female of African heritage to become a Sheriff in the United Kingdom. She was a councilor of Aspley police station before she became the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Nigeria’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Foreign Relations and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa commended her for making Nigeria proud.
According to extracts from her Twitter feed @abikedabiri, she said, “Ha ha! Yet another Nigerian Diaspora success story. Proudly Nigerian.”
This feat is coming on the heels of the recent another Nigerian woman, Victoria Obaze was on Wednesday sworn in as the first black female Civic Mayor of London Borough of Tower Hamlets, United Kingdom.
