As christians, you are different from others because God has moved you from one kingdom to another, hence, you are odd.

Confiance News gathered from a sermon by a minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Solidrock Parish, Kayode Afolayan, on Sunday.

He said: “You belong to another kingdom. It is better to be odd. Indeed, you are odd because the kingdom you belong to is different from the world.”

Taking his text from the book of James 1:18 and Proverbs 18:21 from the scriptures, he enjoined christians to be wary of their words.

Afolayan said: “Our words are so powerful because we are powerful. We are fashioned after the image of God.”

Citing the book of James 1:20, he stated complaining about the current government of Nigeria and the economy will not help the situation.

“A lot of us are angry with the government.
If God is going to do anything at all it is not because of the anger,” he stated.

“It is better to say things that are not in tune with the environment. Honestly, you should not be in tune with the environment because you are different,” he continued.

The minister advised christians to stop making analysis that will paralyse them.

“The economy can be stressed and we will not be stressed,” he said.

Continuing, he said,”The husbandman that labour must first partaker of the fruit. Be careful of what your labour is over Nigeria. What you are sowing and watering is highly important.”
