For change to happen the power of God must be set in motion.

That was the submission of Pastor Cephas Afebuamah of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Solidrock Parish, Lagos State.

Taking his text from the book of Genesis 1:1-3 in the bible, he said,”Except the light of God moves, except the spirit of God moves everything will remain unchanged.”

Pastor Afebuamah pointed out that the heaven and the earth, which were God’s creation, were without form and void until God intervened and a positive change took place.

Confiance News gathered that for you to experience positive change in your life, you need to be mindful of your character.

He noted that oftentimes our character could inhibit the move of God in our lives.

One of such is the spirit of unforgiveness. He recalled how he met a woman having difficulty with delivery felt quite hopeless after receiving a disheartening doctor’s report. He was prompted to pray for her but had a leading in his spirit to ask her to forgive anyone that had hurt her, and to ask God for forgiveness of her sins.

After she had done that, she went back to the hospital and had a safe delivery contrary to what was in the report. This miracle astounded the doctor who could not fathom what led to the drastic change.

He noted that unforgiveness can prevent God from intervening and changing our ugly situations.

Citing the book of Mark 5:1-12, he recounted how a man who was God’s creation lived in the tomb—among the dead.

Pastor Afebuamah said, “His situation seemed hopeless. Nobody could bind him anymore even with chains.”

However, he noted that meeting Jesus was a turning point in his life. He was delivered and became a new man.
