The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria.

‎Confiance News reports that as the nation marks the 2026 Easter celebration, the Chairman urged all citizens to embrace the timeless values of sacrifice, peace, and national unity.

‎In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Professor Yilwatda described Easter as the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ serves as a powerful reminder of hope in the face of adversity.
‎”Easter teaches us that sacrifice is the pathway to glory. With faith in God, hope can rise again even in difficult times,” he said.

‎The Chairman emphasized that the lessons of the season are profoundly relevant to Nigeria’s current journey. He called on citizens to remain steadfast in their patriotism and to live out the virtues of compassion and service in both public and private life.

‎Professor Yilwatda expressed deep concern regarding the security challenges affecting various parts of the federation. He offered his condolences to families impacted by violence and kidnapping, noting that their pain is a source of collective national grief.

To overcome these challenges, he advocated for a spirit of national solidarity to stand against fear and division while encouraging enhanced vigilance through closer cooperation between citizens and security institutions.

‎Furthermore, he called for continued support for the strategic interventions and institutional reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He acknowledged the government’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the country and urged all levels of government, faith institutions, and community leaders to work in harmony to ensure that justice and safety prevail across the federation.

‎The APC National Chairman encouraged Nigerians to use this period to pray for the country’s leaders and the security personnel who bear the burden of national service. He expressed total confidence that, through responsible leadership and a shared commitment to progress, Nigeria will emerge from its present trials stronger than ever.

‎Professor Yilwatda concluded by wishing all Christians a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling celebration. He urged everyone to remain law-abiding and hopeful while working toward the shared goal of a secure and prosperous nation.
