The suspension of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, by President Bola Tinubu, citing escalating political tensions, the declaration of a state of emergency that led to Fubara’s suspension, and the appointment of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd.) as the Sole Administrator of the state triggered widespread controversy.

Confiance News gathered that the situation has deteriorated into public demonstrations, as women of Rivers State took to the streets with their placards demanding for a reinstatement of Fubara.

Six photos curated by Confiance News explain the situation.
