Nobody can fight against the power of love.
Pastor Tunji Adeyinka of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock parish Ojodu, Lagos stated.

“I have not seen anybody who can fight against the power of love,” he said.

While citing the book of John 3:16 in the bible, he noted that love is the basis, and has so much power because God invested so much power in it.

“In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because He sent His only begotten son in the world to be the propitiation for our sins, ” Adeyinka stated.

He, however, frowned at the fact that love is a word and a concept that has been commoditized.

The Pastor added that there are certain words that mean a lot but over time, the world has reduced the meaning so much so that they turned the word into an ordinary word or a word that has no meaning.

“Love has so much been spoken about, yet there is no true love in the world today,” said.

Speaking during a Sunday Service, he pointed that the love that God is talking about includes sacrifice.

“There’s no love without sacrifice. God chose to sacrifice his son for people who have nothing,” he added.

The clergy said that God did not only say it but he paid for it.

He said that no matter how you think and talk of God, if you don’t love, then you don’t know God.

Adeyinka noted that “if you don’t believe that you’re worthy of love, you will not understand that God can love you, then you can’t love.”

“This is a very great investment, that even when the whole world says that you are worthless, God says you worth so much that He has invested in you, if the whole world says you amount to nothing, God says that He values you so much to have sent His only begotten son to die for you,” Adeyinka explained.

He said that God did that for us so that we will not have low self esteem.

“Even when they gave birth to you and say you’re a mistake, you’re not mistake,” he disclosed.

He noted that love is not something that you try to do; it is not something that you struggle to do, it is something you must do because God teaches us to do that.
