Court orders Nigeria’s govt to return IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu to Kenya, pay damages

A Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia, Abia state, has ordered the federal government to return Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to Kenya from where he was extradited to Nigeria in June 2021.

Confiance News gathered from Twitter Wednesday.

The court also ordered the government to pay Kanu the sum of N500 million as damages for his illegal abduction and violation of his fundamental human rights.
