Some customers of Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (DisCo) have been groping in darkness for over 48 hours due to inability to access its payment channels to purchase power credit.

Confiance News gathered from investigations and reactions on the company’s social media handles.

Although the company subsequently issued a notice that the issue was resolved, customers feedback on X showed that they were still finding it difficult to recharge electricity.

An X user, Dollar_Man said: “That’s not true, I just tried to recharge now and attached screenshot will speak the remaining.”

He backed his claims with a photo of the response he got while making attempts to recharge.

Another X user, CRE, lamented: “Please I have a 50k transaction that is still pending. No energy in my card, my 50k debited but the most annoying thing is that I can’t even do a fresh recharge to the card. Please this is really frustrating and I need urgent resolution.”

Guyon’s Canal said: “As big as your institution is, you don’t have an IT graduate that can fix this issue that as become epileptic. I have subscribed about 7 times without any Token given. And you didn’t also reverse the money. Am I T-pain that is causing you pain?”
