Fani-Kayode to Mkongi: “If not for foreigners you will still be washing underwears of Boers”

Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed profound displeasure at the statement made by the Deputy Minister of Police to President Cyril Ramaphosa (the South African President), Mr. Bongani Michael Mkongi.

Reacting to the recent xenophobic attacks that took place on September 1, 2019, Mkongi had said that his country would not surrender its territory to foreign domination.

“You can’t find South Africans in other countries dominating a city up to 80 percent…. We cannot surrender South Africa to foreign nationals,” he said.

Infuriated by the statement, Fani-Kayode retaliated, “If not for the efforts of those “foreigners” that you now hate so much you would still be living in grass huts, swinging from trees, screaming like Tarzan and washing the underwear of the Boers.”

There has been recurring attacks by South Africans against foreigners, particularly, nationals of Africa’s largest country, Nigeria, resulting in huge loss of lives and property.

An act that has been condemned by many, especially, the the United Nations and even President Ramaphosa.

Meanwhile, the former Aviation Minister also commended the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) for its decision to boycott the World Economic Forum (WEF) because of the attack.

“I commend the FG and @MBuhari for boycotting the World Economic Forum. When it comes to the SouthAfrican matter we must set our differences aside and stand as one.The FG has taken a good first step but must do far more.SouthAfrica must pay dearly for her insolence and barbarity!” He tweeted.

He also condemned the attitude of those Nigerians who remained at the summit.

According to him,”Nigerians that attend the World Economic Forum in South Africa deserve to be sent to Nuremberg, Germany for the next yam festival!
They are pissing on the blood and dancing on the graves of their compatriots that have been tortured, maimed and butchered in the streets of SA.”

Xenophobia is the dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

According to Wikipedia, despite a lack of directly comparable data, xenophobia in South Africa is perceived to have significantly increased after the election of a Black majority government in 1994.

Despite attempts to curb the menace, xenophobic attacks and murders have witnessed a steady increase in the former apartheid nation.
