The only way to fix the society is to fix yourself.

Confiance News gathered from the Senior Pastor of the Solidrock Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Tunji Adeyinka, on Sunday.

“If I fix the inside, the outside will be ok. If I fix myself, the marriage will be bliss. We keep pointing fingers. You don’t have the power over another person, you have the power over yourself. Fix yourself, God will fix them,” he said.

Adeyinka said that any society practising true Christianity is usually a transformed society.

Taking his text from the book of Mark 6:1-6 in the scriptures, he stated that Jesus could not perform notable miracles in his own town because his people failed to honour him.

“They called him the son of the carpenter. They were referring to his biological history.

He could do no great works in Nazereth not because of his capacity but because of the capacity of his people,” the pastor pointed.

Why is JESUS not doing great works in our midst today?

Citing the book of 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 in the bible, Adeyinka said that the work that Jesus Christ came to do here on earth is beyond the miracles he performs in your lives.

He added that he wants us to be his ambassadors here on earth.

“The work that Christ came to do really is not just to make you rich; to heal you etc.

The greatest work he wants to do is for his Kingdom to be established here on earth.

He wants us to be his representatives here on earth.

He wants our lives to be transformed and by transforming your lives and my lives the society is transformed,” he explained.

“Any society were the values are not godly values it is not transformed.
If you look at the other side of the road and see the roads that haven’t been fixed, it is not be because there isn’t enough money to fix it, it is because of the kind of Christianity that we are practising.

“If you go to a society, where they are practising true Christianity, that society is transformed. Everything that Jesus teaches is not meant to be kept in church,” he continued.

He noted that people who claim to live under the umbrella of God, yet the society is not transformed—most likely that christianity is a different kind of christianity.

“Some of you are doing work where the work you’re doing is more terribly done than the unbelievers.

We need to personalise it.

Our lives is so so not Christian,” he lamented.
