Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, took to her social media page to debunk rumours of being indifferent and cold to her staff.

Confiance News gathered that a netizen dragged her on social media that she would lose her children for not caring for her late staff named Jumoke who featured in Jennifer’s Diary.

Akindele said that she did not know about her ill health; adding that nobody told her about it.

She noted that she is also generous to the poor and needy but she does it in secret.

“I give but I don’t like announcing it. Giving should be done in secret,” She explained.

Reacting to reasons why she hardly honours party invitations, she said that her studio is at Amen Estate, Eleko on the Lagos Island, which she claimed is quite a distance from most event venues.

Akindele noted that she has also had her own share of life’s torture.

She recounted how she was depressed after losing her mother. Her failed election and failed marriage was not palatable too.

An X user known as Bukky shared a post about how Akindele saved the mother of a woman named Olayode Juliana.

She said: “Funke Akindele is a good woman…
Juliana shared her experience on how she saved her mum 🥹🥹.”
