At the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Solidrock Parish in Lagos, Area Pastor Tunji Adeyinka shared insights on how christians can access the full benefits of God’s comprehensive insurance policy.

Confiance News gathered from his sermon on Sunday.

Drawing from Psalm 34:4-8, he illuminated the transformative power of God’s grace, contrasting it with human comprehensive insurance policies in a message that resonated amid Nigeria’s economic challenges.

Unlike human insurance, which demands recurring premiums from policyholders, Pastor Adeyinka emphasized the unique nature of God’s provision. “The difference between comprehensive insurance and the comprehensive nature of God’s grace is that in the former the premium is paid by you, but in the latter Jesus paid the ‘premium.’ He is not going to pay another premium,” he declared. This divine policy, sealed by Christ’s sacrifice, covers salvation, healing, and deliverance without additional cost.
“The insurance scheme that bought you salvation is the one that bought you healing; it is the one that brought you deliverance,” Adeyinka reiterated, underscoring its all-encompassing scope.

Quoting Matthew 7:7, he described prayer as the believer’s access to this divine policy, far surpassing human systems that falter under bureaucracy or fine print. “Men tend to believe what they see, but this world is governed by things we do not see,” he said, pointing to the ministry of angels and God’s unseen intervention. While human insurance may fail to cover every loss, God’s mercy ensures that “anybody who seeks God cannot be ashamed,” turning potential shame into victory.

Adeyinka highlighted that human insurance is limited by claims processes and exclusions, but God’s grace is elastic, covering even the unqualified, like King David. “Your asking is limited to what you know. I’m looking for a scholarship at Babcock but he is preparing a scholarship at Harvard for you,” he said, referencing Isaiah 65:24’s promise of preemptive answers.

“Citing Psalm 34:8, the Area Pastor noted that to receive the full benefits of God’s comprehensive insurance policy, one must seek and put their trust in God, rather than merely ask.

“Asking is at the level of our understanding,
When you’re asking a God that is limitless, it is better to seek Him. Seeking is based on trust,” Adeyinka stated.
