Douglas Tamunokopo, a married man, has allegedly murdered his girlfriend, Udo Abigail, in Abuja for daring to abort a pregnancy without his consent.

Confiance News gathered from a Platforms Africa report that Tamunokopo has already been arraigned before Justice C.O Agbaza at the FCT High Court for allegedly strangulating the 29 year-old Abigail with a rope in his room.

Abigail who was in a relationship with Tamunokopo, a father of two, who she met in Abuja, discovered that her lover is married and kept his family in Rivers State.

The discovery made after she became pregnant reportedly led her to terminate the pregnancy.

Angered by this development, Tamunokopo reportedly engaged in a heated argument and fight with Abigail whose lifeless body was discovered hours later.

“The 29-year-old lady was found dead in the Tamunokopo’s room with her hands and neck tied with rope, she has been strangulated by the man who left for work after the crime,” the Court was told.
