Patterns are much deeper and broader than curses and oaths.

Confiance News gathered from the guest minister at power service of the Solidrock Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Lanre Aiyedun.

Taking his text from Hebrews 9:23 in the bible, he defined patterns.

He said: “Patterns can be described as a decorative design. An intelligible form of system that is repeated. It is repeated and regular.
It becomes an occurrence that is repeated and consistent.”

Elaborating, he said: “It can be scientifically accurate. It may be genetic environmental or attitudinal. It might be a function of biology.
It may not necessarily be a curse or a covenant or an oath.”

It might be hidden. You may need to get to a point that you begin to ask questions.

When you observe the regularity of a particular behavioural disposition in your life, your child or your family or your friend, begin to ask questions. It may not be limited to only physical.

Citing the book of Matthew 22:24-27, which talked about a woman who was married to a man who had six brothers. Her husband died and she remarried the other brothers, until it got to the last man in the family, who died and then she finally died after all the men in that family that she married had died.

“What do you see there? Patterns
This story appeared in all the semantic gospels but I had to choose this particular version.
Patterns encompass all of them— curses, oaths and covenants.

Jesus did not dispute this word of God.
There were seven generations of sorrow, of fruitlessness of barrenness. The seven of them died prematurely.

The danger with patterns is that sometimes it may hide under culture.

Pastor Aiyedun said that there might be need to conduct an analysis or a spiritual diagnosis in other to destroy the patterns.
