The vagina is a part of the female reproductive system. It is a muscular canal that connects the vulva (the external female genitals) to the cervix (the lower part of the uterus).

The vagina is an important organ that plays a vital role in female sexuality, reproduction, and health, hence, should be taken care of.

Avoid using scented or antiseptic products that can disrupt the natural pH of the vagina.

It’s important to change menstrual products frequently to prevent bacterial growth and unpleasant odours.

 

Wear cotton underwear and loose-fitting pants

Cotton underwear and loose-fitting pants allow air circulation, which helps prevent moisture buildup in the genital area.

 

Use condoms with new partners Condoms can help protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

 

Eat foods that boost vaginal health

Foods such as yogurt, garlic, cranberries, and green tea can help promote vaginal health.

 

Do kegel exercises

Kegel exercises can help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder, uterus, and rectum.

There are several apps available that provide information and instructions on topics related to vagina care.
