In five photos, Lafarge fosters sustainable growth, unveils Welding, Fabrication programme for youths

In line with its commitment to foster sustainable growth and development within its host communities, Lafarge Africa recently launched a Welding & Fabrication Programme.

Lafarge said that the first beneficiaries of the programme are 20 youths from its host communities in Cross River State.

 

“This initiative underscores Lafarge’s commitment to sustainable community development & aims to equip individuals with valuable industrial skills. The participants will undergo comprehensive training in welding & fabrication for eight months, in order to make them become proficient and certified in their field,” the company explained.

 

It added that In attendance to commemorate the launch of this project were – Cross River State Commissioner for Youth, Barr Ijom Ukam, Mfamosing Plant Manager, Milad Hanna, employees of Lafarge Africa, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
