The Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, has made concerted efforts to renovate the vandalised NCC Digital Innovation Park in Kano.
Confiance News gathered from his official X handle on Monday.
He also announced that IHS Towers— the largest independent owners, operators, and developers of shared communications infrastructure in the world, have committed to full renovation of the vandalised facility.
His post read;
“I was in Kano yesterday to witness first hand the current state of the @NgComCommission Digital Innovation Park which was unfortunately vandalised a few months ago.
“At the time I mentioned that we would move quickly to restore the facility for the benefit of our citizens, including our @3MTTNigeria fellows who were meant to use the Park for their applied and hands on learning.
“I am pleased therefore to announce that we have received the support of @IHSTowers who have committed to the full renovation of the location so we can finally put it to good use.To all our #3MTT fellows in Kano, as I said yesterday, you, together with many young people across Nigeria, represent the future of the global digital workforce, and your dreams and aspirations are valid.
It was a pleasure to meet you all and hear some of your inspiring stories. I also want to thank the Kano State Govt, under the leadership of the Executive Governor, H.E.Engr @Kyusufabba, for the warm welcome and their continued support for our efforts.“
