Minister unveils God’s plan to rescue the oppressed

During a weekend deliverance service at the Land of Glory Ministry, Chioma Obinagwam a Journalist and Minister, inspired the congregation with a message anchored in biblical victory over oppression.

Drawing from Obadiah 1:17—“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions”—Obinagwam outlined the transformative stages of deliverance: liberation, sanctification, and inheritance.

Mount Zion, the biblical symbol of God’s unshakable refuge, stands as the heart of this divine rescue. Unlike Edom’s fleeting strongholds, Zion represents eternal security where God’s people find shelter from spiritual predators. As Obinagwam stressed, Zion’s significance lies in its role as a beacon of restoration, a holy hill where chains break, ushering believers into freedom.

For today’s believers, she said that Zion symbolizes the Church, both the global body of Christ and the individual heart where God resides. Obinagwam highlighted that, like ancient Zion, the Church is where spiritual victories are secured, and Christians access deliverance through worship, prayer, and faith.

This resonates with Isaiah 49:24-26, where the Lord proclaims, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty… Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away.” Here, God promises to feed devourers their own flesh, confirming that no force can deny deliverance to His chosen. Zion, therefore, is not just geography but a spiritual high ground, lifting the oppressed to triumph.

Obinagwam moved to the New Testament, citing Colossians 1:13-14: God “hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood.” This first stage, deliverance, reflects Zion’s liberation, freeing souls from satanic rule through Christ’s atonement.

Yet, freedom requires pursuing holiness, the second stage. Obadiah’s vision links deliverance to purity, warning that without holiness, no one sees the Lord. Obinagwam urged the congregation to cast off sin’s remnants, cultivating a consecrated life through worship and prayer.

Finally, possessing one’s possession, the third stage, calls believers to claim God’s promises. Colossians 2:14-15 reveals Christ “blotting out the handwriting of ordinances… nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them.” she declared this the spoils of Calvary: health, peace, and destiny restored.

As testimonies overflowed at the altar, Obinagwam’s sermon echoed: On Zion’s mount, deliverance births holiness, which births possession. Step into your inheritance today; the chains are broken.
