NCC debunks rumours of tariff hike

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has refuted News making the rounds of a hike in tariff.

 

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of the Commission on Monday.

 

“The NCC has neither approved any new Telecom Tariff Plans nor hike as reported on online. The public is advised to please disregard.

 

NCC issued a directive for all operators to simplify their current tariff plans in a transparent & fair manner for consumers,” it disclosed.

Reacting to the post by NCC, an X user, S.A Babatunde said,”we don’t kill fake news, It will kill us.”

 

Omo Ila said: “It’s the work of pseudo activist as I fondly called them .it is to further cause apprehension.thank you for the timely debunk.”

 

Omi Nla added: “Can’t the government deal with peddlers if fake news?”
