‘Petals of Life to be launched on July 6,’ author reveals

“Petals of Life”, a collection of poems by Lilian Obiageli Ario, a Broadcast Journalist at Voice of Nigeria (VON); who is also an accomplished poet is set for unveiling.

The author told Confiance News in a statement on Tuesday.

The event which is scheduled for 6th July, 2024 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa Ikeja by 10 am, is expected to attract high profile academia, secondary school students, dignitaries, as well as members of the fourth estate of the realm.

In a statement signed by Ario in Lagos, the highly anticipated anthology will be graced by poetry lovers and literary enthusiasts to experience her profound and evocative work firsthand.

“Petals of Life is a captivating collection that delves into the multifaceted experiences of life, love, sorrow, death, and joy,” Ario added.

Speaking further, the Poet said her collection is a captivating experience of life filled with figures of speech.

“My poems are rich in vivid imagery, personification, simile, as the poems are equally woven around human emotions and experiences, making each piece a testament to my literary prowess,” she explained.

This inspiring and thought-provoking collection challenges readers to strive for better behavior while reminding them of their roots and the paths they have traveled.

At the event, Lilian Obiageli Ario will be discussing selected poems from “Petals of Life,” offering a glimpse into the heart and soul behind each verse.

The event will have a Q&A session where guests can engage the author in order to gain deeper insights into her creative process.

 

About the Author:

Lilian Obiageli Ario is a poet, known for her ability to convey deep emotion and vivid imagery through her writing. In addition to her work as a Broadcast journalist at Voice of Nigeria(VON), she expresses her feelings, emotions, pains, and happiness through poetry.

Lilian Ario is equally the Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos Chapter.

“Petals of Life” promises to further establish her as a significant voice in contemporary poetry.
