Police arrests cultist, recovers locally made pistol

On the 9th of November 2021 at bout 1230hrs, Operatives attached to Agbarho Police station in a combined effort with Agbarho vigilante task Force arrested one Solomon Adama ‘m’ 25years of Maternity road Agbarho at Oguname street Agbarho.

Confiance News gathered from a statement issued by the Delta state Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali.

According to the statement, when search was conducted on him, one locally made pistol and one live cartridge were recovered. The suspect also confessed being a member of Eiye confraternity.

“On further interrogation the suspect further stated that the gun was given to him by one Gregory Orhokpocha ‘m’ 37yrs of Oguname street Agbarho, the leader of Eiye confraternity in Agbarho, the suspect Gregory was swiftly arrested.

“Suspects have been transferred to State criminal investigation department for further investigation,” he narrated.

He, however, assured resident of the state that the Command under his watch remains committed to the protection of lives and properties in the state especially during this ember months. He has sent a strong message to Area commanders, DPOS and tactical commanders on the need to sustain the tempo in the fight against crimes and criminality.
