There is a standing you must attain before your prayers can be answered. The heart of the Christian must be set.
Confiance News gathered from the Provincial Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid rock parish, Bola Odutola on Sunday.
“There’s a frequency at which your heart must be that will enable you receive signal. People have deceived you in the past, don’t make the mistake of deceiving yourself,” he advised.
Taking his text from the book of 1Sam. 1:13, he explained how Hannah prayed with her heart and God heard her prayer.
“I pray for you that when your mouth cannot speak because of anguish may God hear your heart,” Pastor Odutola prayed.
Reading further from the book of James 4:8 in the scriptures, he noted that God wants us to draw near to him and cleanse our hearts, which are prerequisites to answered prayers.
“You pray, you didn’t receive it because you have no right to ask in the first place,” he stated.
“The bible in your hands and the bible in your heart’s, they’re not mates,” he disclosed.
The clergyman added that the job of a Christian is to transform the written to the spirit.
“There must be a sacrifice before the spirit word can ascend. The same way a native doctor cannot chant incantation without a sacrifice,” he maintained.
Pastor Odutola noted that the missing link is in devotion to God.
“Every Christian must be ahead of satan. In the place of devotion. That is a missing link. They must sit with God at least 2-3 hours a day. This is because it is your matter that is being discussed,” he continued.
Expatiating, he stated that God admonished children of God to follow hard after Him in Psalm. 63:8.
Pastor Odutola said: “The children of God must follow hard unto God. Men follow hard after contract; men follow hard after women.
No man sits down with God on a matter and God doesn’t show up.
“God is not far away. There are some conditions you create in the supernatural that will keep satan away.
He stated that Daniel in the scriptures was a perfect example of a man whose heart was right with God.
