Amid anxiety over the announcement of the verdict of Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), a tweep has given a hint of a likely date.

The Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has set September 16 2023 as the Judgement date for the Peter Obi and Labour Party’s case against Bola Tinubu, INEC, Shettima and APC
Sept 16 is also the Judgement date for the PDP’s case of Atiku against APC, INEC and Tinubu
We have a date, and just like I predicted, the judges have chosen to go with the last day of the given 180 days for the PEPT which is Sept 16, 2023

Her post, however, sparked reactions among tweeps.

Some tweeps opine that there will be an appeal at the Supreme court.

However, the Secretary of the PEPC panel, Barrister Josephine J. Ekperobe reacting to the news said that no date has been fixed yet.
Confiance News also learnt that in line with the Nigerian Electoral Act, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has 180 days to determine the petitions challenging the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Confiance News recalls that PEPT commenced its hearing on May 23, 2023, after giving three weeks to Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, to prove his case. However, the PEPT is expected to end its trials on or before November 19, 2023.
