An Economic strategist, Kalu Aja, has reacted to the news of the illegal printing of N23 trillion by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) during President Buhari’s administration.

Confiance News gathered from the official X handle of Aja.

He said:

“The Senate has finally realized that they must address the illegal printing of N23t by the Central Bank of Nigeria and subsequently hand over of N23t to the past administration of President Buhari.

“The Senate illegally approved the spending of N23t, after it had already been spent. Illegal.

“According to Senator Ndume, only N819b was approved. However, N23t was printed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and handed over to the FGN to spend

“No records!

No details of expenses!!

Nothing!!!

“The dollar equivalent of $50B was printed, FIFTY BILLION USD, with no records or details of where it was spent.

“Everyone involved must give an account; these folks must testify under oath on how N23t was approved and spent.
