Doors have play important roles in determining how successful you will be in life. It is a mystery which should be unraveled and a hard knot to crack.

“Everybody has a door. If your door is open, helpers will come. If it is not open, helpers will not come,” Pastor Odekunle Seun Emmanuel disclosed.

Pastor Emmanuel, who is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) said that Jesus Christ knew about the mystery of doors that was why he commanded them to be lifted up in the book of Psalm 24:7-9.

He said,”In Psalm 24:7- This is Jesus talking. He didn’t say go and bring keys. He said lift them up.”

Pastor Emmanuel noted that there are doors in all facets of life.

“Womb has doors. When Rachel asked Jacob to give her a baby, he replied, ‘Am I the one that closed the door of your womb?’

Gen. 30:22 There is a door of the womb. There is a door of certificates. When that door is opened, you will not be the one facing rejection.

That you are good does not matter if the everlasting gates is working against you, it will affect your success,” he said.

Family battles

Family battles are one of the ways that the doors manifest.
Pastor Emmanuel recounted the story of Mephibosheth, how his entire family died and he was banished out of the palace to exile—Lo-debar (no pasture).

Citing the book of 2Samuel 9:6 in the bible, the clergyman said that Mephibosheth, the great grand son of Saul, was taken to Lo-debar because he was crippled.

Expatiating he said, “That same battle killed his grandfather, Saul; his father, Jonathan and his entire family and when someone tried to escape with him on a horse to prevent him from dying, he fell down from the horse and became crippled.
As a result of his crippled state, he was taken to Lo-debar.

“The battles of his house sentenced him out of the palace to Lo-debar.”

However, the story of Mephibosheth changed when he destroyed the door and conquered his family battles.

David remembered him and brought him back to the palace.

Confiance News gathered that there are mysteries in life, which only God can unravel.

“Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not. There are lot of things, which you don’t know,” Pastor Emmanuel said.

Grace is all you need

In the war against the doors, gates, family battles etcetera, grace is the distinguishing factor.

Pastor Emmanuel said that you need grace to uproot the doors and succeed.
He admonished Christians to always seek grace from God.

He noted that there two ways to receive grace:

  • You can ask.
  • You can connect.

To ask means to request grace from God whereas to connect means to desire a certain degree of grace that exists in the life of a person—pastor, minister, prophet, artiste etcetera.

Moreover, connecting with the person whose grace you desire requires humility and loyalty.

He said: “God despises the proud and gives grace to the humble.”
