The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Confiance News, Joan Chioma Obinagwam, was among the recipients of the prestigious Nestlé Media Awards.

Obinagwam won the second-best in the Finance Category for her article titled: “How Nestlé can leverage Hedging in mitigating currency risks“.
Reacting to the award, the Head Public Relations, Public Affairs and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Ndidiamaka Anyianuka said: “Well done Chioma. Your entry was a winner! We look forward to more solution reporting in the year ahead.”

Confiance News gathered that a total of 283 articles and photos were received for the Nestlé awards in various categories, which include Nutrition and Affordable Food Solutions, Environmental Sustainability, Youth Empowerment and Development, Women Empowerment, Community Development, Finance, Agriculture, and Best Photojournalist Award.
The awards aim to recognize and reward journalistic excellence, focusing on impactful storytelling that highlights critical issues in the food and beverage industry, as well as broader societal themes.
Joan Chioma Obinagwam is a seasoned journalist, whose works have impacted lives and influenced governments and corporates to make policies that have engendered positive change.
