The United States (U.S.) Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital and its Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Monday.
Confiance News reports from a statement posted on the official X handle of the U.S Mission Nigeria on Sunday.
It disclosed that the closure was to commemorate Presidents’ Day.
“The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 18, 2025,” it stated.
Confiance News gathered that the Presidents’ Day is observed annually on the third Monday of February to honour past and present leaders of the country.
