Niger is rich in uranium yet they buy electricity from Nigeria. The intellectual capacity for “processing” uranium into the enriched uranium that will give them power is lacking.
This is likened to a christian who does not have what it takes to process the word of God into spiritual words of power.
Confiance News gathered from the Provincial Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, Bola Odutola on Sunday.
“The tragedy of the black man, is also the tragedy of the church,” he stated.
Taking his text from Mark 12:30 in the scriptures, he noted that the greatest commandment is love and we are obligated to love God unreservedly.
Elaborating, he cited the book of Matthew 6:33, where God urged christians to seek his kingdom and its righteousness first.
“I was looking for ‘seek ye second,’ I didn’t see. I was looking for ‘seek ye third,’ I didn’t see,” Odutola said.
The Provincial Pastor noted that for a christian to be able to process the letters in the bible into spirit words, he needs to stay in Christ.
Quoting the book of John 15:4-7, Odutola emphasized the importance of staying in Christ and meditating on the word of God.
“Meditation is the nutritional equivalent of digestion. Satan has never been known to be so crazy to resist the spirit word. Satan does not have the capacity to do that,” he said.
He added that anytime christians are off the word in meditation, they are offline.
“The devil is never a fool. There are some battles you engage in without a full stomach. There are times you fast, you know you didn’t fast. When you’re on, you know; when you’re off, you know. Satan knows you, you don’t know him,” the clergyman explained.
Beyond having your requests granted by God, Odutola said that, living in perfect peace are some of the benefits of staying in the word according to the scriptures in the book of Isaiah 26:3.
Reading from the book of Isaiah 55:7, he stated that God is more concerned about the thoughts of man because when the heart is processing ungodly thoughts it will produce ungodly acts.
“God worries more about the thoughts; each time your thoughts is wrong, you are offline,” he added.
Citing the book of Colossians 3:8-10, Odutola disclosed that anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication are some of the things that put you offline.
Agreed that there is so much distraction in the world, he noted that staying in Christ not an be an easy matter but It is accomplishable.
“Congo is the richest country on the planet by mineral resources, it it is one of the poorest. Why? They just cannot process all those things to become finished products just the way christians cannot process the word of God to become spirit words,” he lamented.
