The photo of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle’s visit to Nigeria has caused a stir as people have criticized her dressing.

Confiance News gathered from X on Friday.

Reacting to the photo which shows Markle, standing and smiling in front of some of the students of Light Academy, Abuja (Nigeria’s capital), with the students looking at her with somewhat disdain, Rene Omokri, an aide of one of Nigeria’s past president (Goodluck Jonathan) said that the look on the students’ faces resembled that of scorn.

“This photo does not look as if these students of Light Academy are admiring Meghan Markle. I don’t know, but this almost looks like scorn. Why were they looking at her like that? If I were their media handlers, this particular photo would not have gone out. It speaks a thousand words. Most of them not positive,” he said.

Reacting to his concerns, an X user, Tracy Forbes, said,”That is some serious shade they are throwing at her. She is dressed like she should be in some hotel bar looking for her next customer. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

Rotimi David Idowu, another X user, is of the opinion that the hot weather experienced in the country could be her reasons for wearing a backless peach coloured dress.

He said,”That’s what that can make her comfortable in Nigeria 🇳🇬 weather.”

Another X user known as Queer Lips Of Truth, sharing more photos said, “This is what they saw. And they were judging her.”

Confiance News gathered that Markle and her husband were on a 3-day visit to Nigeria.
