Life often leads you to crossroads where you need counsel to make decisions regarding the path to follow.

Guest minister at the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG Solidrock Parish, Solidrock Parish, Abayomi Molehin advised that making the right decision is dependent on good counsel.

Taking his text from the book of Proverbs 11:14, he stressed the importance of good counsel.

Reading from the book of Jeremiah 6:16, he noted that God gave counsel to the people of Israel but they refused to accept it.

Confiance News gathered that it is costly to be adamant to good counsel.

“Decisions determine destinies,” he said.

Citing the book of 1 Samuel 30:8, he enjoined christians to take counsel from God.

Apart from God, he says you can seek counsel from wise experts. He backed this claim with the book of Proverbs 14:12. He also cited an example from the book of Exodus 14:15, where Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law gave him good counsel on how to do work of God.

Molehin advised against working with outdated counsel.

“Be careful not to use the instruction of yesterday for the problem of today. Because Jesus healed someone with saliva and sand doesn’t mean every illness will be treated with saliva and sand,” he advised.

“We must be careful to get the relevant information for the moment,” he continued.
