The brightness of light shines in darkness at its best. The times we live is warfare, not fun fare; hence, your breakdown is not your final.
Confiance News gathered from the wife of the Senior Pastor of Solid Rock Parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Bunmi Odutola on Sunday.
Taking her text from the bible in Micah 7:8, she said: “It is the courage to move on. Giving up is not an option. Don’t ever take no for an answer.”
Odutola urges christians to be courageous even in the face of fear and to pay more attention to the future rather than the past.
“Don’t fear failure; be terrified about regret. Don’t let your attachment to the past be more than your commitment to the future. That you made a mistake, does not mean you’re a mistake,” she advised.
Citing Job chapter 14 verse 14 in the scriptures, Odutola noted that Job encouraged himself when he said, “All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.”
She noted that, indeed, Job’s change came.
“You don’t need to commit suicide. God has not finished with us. Don’t give up on God as long as you’re alive,” she said.
Confiance News also learnt from her that to be arise and shine, one needs to be genuinely connected to God.
“Connect to God genuinely. Connect to the word. Speak to your situation. Get to that point, where what God cannot give you, you’re not interested. God let your will be done.
“The days are gone, nobody wants to know the church, they want to know the power of the God you carry.
Before an object can shine, there must be a reflection of the object called light,” she explained.
Odutola further admonished christians to speak positive words to their situations.
