Having a more personal experience of God makes you courageous and keeps you in a position to market God.

Confiance News gathered from the Provincial Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solidrock Parish, Bola Odutola on Sunday.

Clarifying, he said: “We have entered into an era in which a Christian must know God for himself and herself. When you know God for yourself, close to nothing disturbs you. You are overtly stable. You understand the atmosphere.

“No Christian will ever succeed in marketing a God he has not met and he has not experienced. If you do, you are a theoretician.”

Taking his text from Numbers 13:28, he said that the reason why the Israelites asked Aaron— the high priest to make a golden calf for them to worship when Moses went to Mount Sinai to seek God, was because they did not know God for themselves.

“No one will know the Lord by chance.
Why did Aaron make a golden calf,.why not a golden ram or rat? The calf was what they worshipped when they were in Egypt,” he continued.

The Provincial Pastor added that the reason why christians do not see the hand of God in their lives is because they are not ready to sacrifice.

“A Christian is happiest and more audacious when they are holiest,” he stated.

Odutola, however, enjoyed Christians to take a cue from Joseph, who left his father’s house at the age of 17 and spent 93 years in the land of Egypt, yet could withstand sin even when the bible was not written.

“The story of the man, Joseph is a mystery and challenge to christians. He left his father’s house in Isreal at the age of 17. For 93 solid years, Joseph never had access to the bible. He was obeying the law when it had not been written. He was obeying the testaments when they had not been written. His only conviction was his conscience.

“The bible and story of Joseph was later written by Moses, several years after Joseph died. Moses got all the information from above through the supernatural,” Odutola highlighted.
