House Committee on Insurance, stakeholders meet to strengthen NDIC’s mandate for economic stability (Photos)

The Chairman, House Committee on Insurance and Actuarial Matters, Hon. Ahmadu Jaha and stakeholders in the insurance and actuarial sector met in Lagos for a workshop aimed to strengthen the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (NDIC) mandate on ensuring economic stability.

Confiance News gathered that the workshop, which had the theme, “Navigating Financial Disruptions: Strengthening the NDIC’s Mandate for Economic Stability,” aimed to reinforce the NDIC’s legal and operational framework to better protect depositors and ensure the stability of Nigeria’s financial system.

It also discussed ways of aligning the NDIC’s policies with global best practices, such as those outlined by the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).
