Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its leadership role in building a coordinated and inclusive digital ecosystem, as it welcomed a high-level delegation from Angola’s National Institute for the Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM).

The working visit, led by INAPEM Chairman and CEO Bráulio Augusto, was received at NITDA headquarters in Abuja by Dr. Aristotle Onumo, Director of Stakeholder Management and Partnerships, on behalf of NITDA Director General Kashifu Inuwa.
Discussions centered on Nigeria’s startup ecosystem framework, digital innovation policies, and strategies for driving inclusive economic growth through technology and entrepreneurship. NITDA highlighted its Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0), aligned with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes:
- Digital literacy and skills development
- Ecosystem growth and collaboration
- IT talent advancement
- Digital infrastructure expansion
- Policy implementation and compliance
- Research-driven innovation
The Angolan delegation praised Nigeria’s progress with the Nigeria Startup Act, describing it as a model for shaping Angola’s own startup ecosystem and digital entrepreneurship initiatives.
This engagement underscores the growing collaboration among African nations to advance digital transformation, strengthen startup ecosystems, and promote innovation-driven development across the continent.
