The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria’s central monetary authority, has disclosed that its office in Gombe State was gutted by fire.

Confiance News gathered from CBN’s Twitter feed on Friday.

The bank, however, noted that no lives were lost no any injuries recorded by anyone as a result of the fire incident.

“Today, a minor fire incident was reported at our Gombe branch. The fire which started from an electrical fault and partially destroyed some furniture in the Branch Controller’s office, was promptly put out. There was no injury and no record or other asset of the Bank was affected,” it tweeted.

Confiance News recalls that in April, the CBN Office in Plateau State also witnessed a fire outbreak; even as same incident occurred at key government establishments in the country such as the offices of the Accountant General of the Federation, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), among others.
