Lawyer and human rights activist, Reno Omokri, has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu for landing on the Presidential wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA).
Confiance News gathered from a tweet made by Omokri on his official Twitter handle on Monday.
“Why would the Nigerian Airforce allow Bola Tinubu land in the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport? That is wrong, almost to the point of treason! It proves that the Buhari government is prepared to use federal might to rig him into power!,” he pointed.
“Tinubu is a citizen like any other. The Presidential wings of Nigeria’s airports are for the use of the President, and those representing the FG. Tinubu does not fall into that category. The Nigerian Airforce must not allow itself to become Tinubu and APC’s poodle!,” he continued.
Omokri, who was also an aide to the Nigeria’s former president, Goodwick Jonathan, described it as unethical.
“Allowing Tinubu land in the Presidential wing is unethical. The man is not the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces. Presidents Obasanjo, Yar’adua and Jonathan never did that. This reduces our airforce in the estimation of right thinking members of the public!,” the human rights activist lamented.
Omokri also frowned at Lagos State government for closing traffic for three hours because of Tinubu’s arrival to Lagos.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Information denied that Lagos roads were closed for 3 hours because of Tinubu. But here we have video evidence and eyewitness testimony. Who should we believe. If he is a tyrant now, what will happen if, God forbid, he wins in 2023?#TableShaker pic.twitter.com/fTGYHtsotH

“Tinubu hasn’t become President and he is landing in the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, and closing Lagos traffic for 3 hours, while his thugs took over the state. What will now happen if, God forbid, he becomes President? Tufiakwa!,” he condemned.
Confiance News recalls that Tinubu, as part of his electoral campaign, arrived Lagos State on Sunday and was greeted with an overwhelming reception.
