A good home is not a wish, it is what you work for and depends on the effort of each spouse.

Confiance News gathered from the wife of the Provincial Pastor of the Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, Ojodu on Sunday. (Mrs) Bunmi Odutola disclosed in a sermon on Sunday.

She admonished married couples to arise and take their place.

“To watch means to awake and make vigilant. God is saying prophetically to marriages; make good your position in the home,” She said.

Citing the book of Colossians 3:18, she highlighted the importance of submission in achieving a good home.

Confiance News gathered that there is need for couples to rely on the word of God for direction.

“The manual is the word of God. Outside the word of God, you malfunction,” She said.

According to the cleric, husbands owe it a duty to love their wives, while citing the book of Ephesians 5: 25-28 to buttress her point.

Pastor Bunmi stressed the importance of love in a home; adding that the only language women understand in marriage is love.
“Love your wife as you love yourself.

“This is the idea of God not of man. Love gives and speaks and it is not silent. It is what you appreciate that you value, so appreciate your wife with words of affirmation while she is alive and not write epistle and tribute when she is dead, because the dead don’t read epistle and tribute,” She advised.

She also enjoined wives to strive to be submissive to their husbands.

She further enjoined parents not to delegate or suspend their roles in the family as father or a mother, since there is no deputy father nor mother.

“God is saying prophetically to marriages; make good your position in the home,” She pointed.
