‘End the current monetary rascality,’ Obaseki tackles Finance Minister

The Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki has taken to his official Twitter handle to express his displeasure over the manner which Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed is running the economy.

Confiance News gathered from his Twitter handle on Thursday.

“Rather than play the Ostrich, we urge the government to take urgent steps to end the current monetary rascality, so as to prevent the prevailing economic challenge from degenerating further,” he advised.

The Witness reports that Obaseki was reacting to the denial by Zainab that his claim on Federal Government printing N60 billion was “untrue”.

Continuing he said, “The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning,

should rally Nigerians to stem the obvious fiscal slide facing our country.

“We believe it is imperative to approach the Nigerian project with all sense of responsibility and commitment and not play to the gallery because ultimately, time shall be the judge of us all.
