Following talks with Nigeria’s Labour Minister, Chris Ngige, Electricity workers in the country have suspended their strike for two weeks.

Confiance News gathered from a statement made by NUEE national president, Martin Uzoegwu, on Wednesday.

Confiance News recalls that the workers, under aegis National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) had embarked on industrial action on Wednesday to press home their demands.

The federal government (FG) immediately summoned an emergency meeting with the electricity workers after they shut down the national grid, throwing the nation into darkness.
