‎In a move to advance Nigeria’s digital agenda, the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, actively participated in the International Civil Service Conference, reinforcing the agency’s dedication to technology-driven public service transformation.

‎Confiance News reports, citing a post by NITDA on its official X handle on Wednesday.

‎The conference, which convened key stakeholders from across the globe, focused on the theme “Reforms, Resilience and Results.” Discussions centered on strategies to create a more efficient, technology-powered, and citizen-centered civil service. Inuwa’s involvement highlights NITDA’s strategic role in positioning Nigeria’s public institutions for success in the digital era.

‎NITDA has maintained strong momentum in supporting public sector reform. The agency continues to equip Nigerian civil servants with critical digital skills through targeted capacity-building programs, comprehensive trainings, and digital literacy initiatives. These efforts include the provision of modern digital tools designed to boost productivity, streamline service delivery, and cultivate a culture of efficiency across government institutions.

‎”This participation further reaffirms NITDA’s commitment to driving digital transformation and innovation across Nigeria’s public service ecosystem,” the agency stated. By investing in human capital and technological infrastructure, NITDA aims to build a smart and agile civil service workforce capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving digital economy.

‎These initiatives align closely with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Federal Government’s broader vision for a digitally empowered Nigeria. The conference provided an important platform for sharing best practices and forging partnerships that will accelerate the adoption of digital solutions in governance.

‎As Nigeria pushes toward greater digital inclusion and public service excellence, NITDA’s proactive engagement at international forums demonstrates its leadership in bridging the gap between policy and implementation. The agency remains focused on delivering tangible results that benefit citizens through improved government services and enhanced operational efficiency.

‎With continued emphasis on skills development and technological innovation, NITDA is steadily transforming the Nigerian civil service into a responsive and future-ready institution.
