NLNG, Zenith Bank others back SuperNews Conference

Leading companies and institutions from various sectors have pledged their support for the SUPERNEWS Artificial Intelligence Conference 2025, scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 10 a.m.

Confiance News gathered from a statement issued by Super News on Sunday.

Supporters include Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), Zenith Bank Plc, Leadway Assurance Company Limited, Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, Guinea Insurance Plc, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), International Energy Insurance Plc (IEI), Ugooafunwa Investment Company Ltd, Zonaish Global Resources, Dontex Ventures Nigeria, and Big Gate Africa.

Ngozi Onyeakusi, Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria and convener of the conference, expressed gratitude to these organizations and other long-term supporters. She particularly praised NLNG, Leadway Assurance, and Sovereign Trust Insurance for their consistent backing of the annual event.

Themed “Power of AI: Enhancing Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction for Better Financial Services Experience,” the conference will feature Mr. Johnson Chukwu, Managing Director of Cowry Asset Management Limited, as the keynote speaker, with Alhaji (Dr) Umaru Kwairanga as Chairman. Special guests include Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, Commissioner for Insurance at NAICOM, and Mrs. Omolola Oloworaran, Director-General of PenCom.
Guest speakers include Mrs. Adeolu Adewumi-Zer (Founder/CEO, ZER Consulting Africa), Mrs. Thaibat Adeniran (former Managing Director, Hilal Takaful Insurance), Dr. Uju Ogubunka (National President, Bank Customers Association of Nigeria), and Mr. Ayokunle Olubunmi (Head of Financial Institutions Ratings, Augusto & Co).

Onyeakusi highlighted that the 2025 conference will explore how AI is transforming financial services through automation, improved customer engagement, risk management, and fraud prevention. The event aims to equip participants with knowledge to leverage AI for faster, cheaper, and more convenient banking, capital market, pension, and insurance services.
