‎Pastor Jerry Eze: Rain without fire Is useless

Pastor Jerry Eze has declared that believers seeking divine breakthrough must first guard their spiritual fire, warning that many are chasing “rain” while neglecting the flame that should precede it.

‎Confiance News gathered that the founder of Streams of Joy International made the declaration while ministering at the church’s Abuja auditorium, drawing from the account of Prophet Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18.

‎According to details obtained by Confiance News, Pastor Eze told worshippers that most spiritual battles are first fought in the mind, describing negative thoughts as “prophets” that speak destiny into being if left unchecked. He urged congregants to stop merely reacting to opposition and instead take the initiative against it.

‎”We don’t react to the devil. We set an agenda for the devil,” he was quoted as saying. “If you are only reactionary, the devil will deal with you.”

‎It was learned that the cleric placed strong emphasis on the sufficiency of a single divine instruction over a multitude of discouraging reports, referencing the biblical showdown where God’s fire overcame the combined prophets of Baal.

‎”I don’t care how many negative reports you’ve heard, one word from God is enough,” Pastor Eze said, according to Confiance News.

‎Confiance News further confirmed that the preacher centred his message on the biblical sequence of fire preceding rain, insisting that believers cannot expect breakthrough while running on spiritual emptiness.

‎”The way you are now cannot send rain. You are in a comatose state,” he stated, urging worshippers to prioritise reigniting their fire before expecting results.

‎He was also sighted describing every believer as a “rainmaker” whose primary responsibility is to protect their spiritual fire from being extinguished by distraction or complacency.

‎”Guard your fire, don’t let the devil quench your fire,” he charged. “We will not be interested in the rain and neglecting the fire.”

‎Confiance News gathered that the session closed with a series of prayer declarations, with Pastor Eze leading worshippers to pray against spiritual laziness, ungodly influences, and the lust of the eyes and flesh, asking God to burn away anything not divinely ordained in their lives.
