Rwandan woman becomes first African to officiate at Men’s FIFA World Cup (See Photos)

Salima Mukansanga, an international football referee from Rwanda, makes history as the first woman to officiate at the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA)- men’s World Cup match.

Confiance News gathered that she was the fourth referee of the game in Qatar.

She was enlisted as an international referee for FIFA since 2012.

She has also officiated at the Olympics, AFCON, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Africa Women’s Cup of Nations and CAF Women’s Champions League.

She is 34 years old.
